Recording, Mixing and Mastering Engineer

Begins his contact with music at the young age of 13, when he took up DJ-ing as a hobby. He starts to gain thirst for knowledge of musical productions and everything related to recording studios. In 2001 he begins his career at the school “Taller de Arte Sonoro” (Audio Art Workshop) – the most prestigious audio school in Venezuela. In 2003 he begins his career as a freelance assistant engineer with very important people in the music industry in Venezuela, such as Ricardo Martínez (Wahala, Famaslop), Juan Angel Esquivel (Guaco, Franco de Vita, Carlos Baute), and Vladimir Quintero (Franco de Vita, Desorden Público, Mariana Vega, C4 Trío). His work has reached international producers such as Héctor Castillo (David Bowie, Bjork, Gustavo Cerati). After a 13-year career, he is an official member of the Audio Engineering Society, voting member of the Latin Recording Academy and a Latin Grammy nominated.

He has also participated in audiovisual projects, such as movies, short films, theater plays and TV commercials. He was a recording engineer for the movie Libertador Morales, el justiciero together with Aquiles Báez. He was Foley artist for the short film Te espero del otro lado, first place winner as best short film in 2012 at the Pennsylvania Festival (Caldas, Colombia), was the sound designer engineer for the short film La cucarachita Mandi winner of 3 awards at the film festival Panalandia 2017 (Panamá) ,was the dialog recording engineer for the short film The Case Against Mr. Sheppard Winner of Festival Prize at Super Geek Film Festival at Florida Supercon 2017 (EEUU, Florida) . Also Foley artist in several shows from the Discovery Channel. Musical editor for theater plays such as Salieri, Se busca Corazón and Tres Reinas, performed in the most prestigious theaters in Caracas (Trasnocho, Luisela Díaz)

Between 2015 and 2016 he worked in Panama for Piso 3 Studios, where he worked as a recording engineer, mixing and mastering important projects in the country, such as La Mecanik Informal, which formed part of the main list of bands for El Afro Latino Fest, held in New York in July 2016. The main song of the event was composed by La Mecanik Informal.

At the beginning of the 2017 moves to Florida where he has participated in recordings for audiovisual productions winning a prize in the Super Geek Film Festival At Florida Supercon 2017, dubbing for Netflix and serving the local and national music scene within the United States.


Ingeniero de grabación, mezcla y mastering

Empieza su contacto con la música como dj a sus 13 años como un hobby. Se interesa por tener conocimientos de producciones musicales y todo lo relacionado en estudios de grabación, en el 2001 empieza su carrera en el Taller de Arte Sonoro, la más prestigiosa escuela de audio en Venezuela. A partir del 2003 empieza su carrera como ingeniero asistente free lance en varios estudios de grabación trabajando con personas importantes en el campo de la música como Ricardo Martínez (Wahala, Famasloop), Juan Angel Esquivel (Guaco, Franco de Vita, Carlos Baute), y Vladimir Quintero (Franco de Vita, Desorden Público, Mariana Vega, C4 Trío). Sus trabajos tuvieron contacto con productores internacionales como Héctor Castillo (David Bowie, Bjork, Gustavo Cerati). Luego de 12 años de carrera es miembro de la AES (Audio Engineering Society), miembro votante del Latin Recording Academy y nominado al Latin Grammy.

También ha participado en proyectos audiovisuales, películas, cortometrajes, obras de teatro comerciales para televisión. Ingeniero de grabación de la música para la película Libertador Morales, el justiciero junto al productor musical Aquiles Báez, Foley artist para el cortometraje Te espero del otro lado ganador del primer lugar como mejor cortometraje en el 2012 en el festival de Pensilvania (Caldas, Colombia), Foley artist para diversos programas de la cadena Discovery Channel. Editor musical para obras de teatro presentadas en las principales salas de Caracas (Trasnocho, Luisela Díaz) tales como Salieri, Se busca corazón y Tres Reinas.

Entre el 2015 y 2016 trabajó en Panamá trabajando para Piso 3 Studios donde se desarrolló como ingeniero de grabación, mezcla y mastering para proyectos importantes de ese país, como es La Mecanik Informal, quienes formaron parte del cartel principal del Afro Latino Fest que se celebró en la ciudad de New York en julio de 2016, siendo el tema promocional realizado por la banda.

A principio de 2017 se muda a Florida participando en grabaciones para producciones audiovisuales independientes ganando el premio en el Super Geek Film Festival At Florida Supercon 2017, doblajes para Netflix y sirviendo a la escena musical dentro de Estados Unidos.
